HOW to restore
Salton Sea?
Construct a shore line canal using a 10-foot ditch
bank to
move the water from the New and Alamo Rivers to the West Lake that is a mile or 2 wide to create
a lake with less salt like Willard Bay that was cut from the Great Salt
Lake. Funding in addition to the State
and Federal Government can come from the special district Senator Dave Kelley
created. The increase in property tax on
the increasing values of the 19,000 properties west of the sea would help pay.
The
New and Alamo Rivers water quality can improve by oxidizing the water with 6
inch drops like they do in sewer plants. Several drops and wetland projects are already
in both rivers. The West Lake is economically feasible; unlike
other plans.
